The company specializes in insurance repair work, that could be anything from a devastating house fire to a broken water line that has been running for days to a major tree damage to your home. We also offer a full remodeling division to help make your dreams become a reality, whether that is a glamour bath remodel, a beautiful new kitchen, or maybe finishing off that extra space in the basement. No job is to big or to small for our company.
The mission for our company is to give homeowners an experience that is completely transparent and honest from the very first day one of our representatives comes to your home. Beyond that we pride ourselves with employing some of the best tradesman in the business. Hi my name is Bill. I am the owner of Great Lakes Bldg & Restoration. I am 42 years old with 3 children and an amazing wife who is partnered with me in business. I started working in the trades when I was about 13 years old. I would go to work with my dad on the weekends to make a little money. As I got older I began to spend more time on the job with my father and I realized it may be something I could make a career out of. I quickly grew fond of the feeling I got by repairing damaged homes while simultaneously repairing damaged hearts. When people suffer a major loss to their home it can be devastating from a mental standpoint. I always enjoyed making something look beautiful again but I honestly enjoyed making someone smile while being in their home again a little more.
I worked for my father until I was 21 and then ventured out on my own. I spent time subcontracting for other companies as well as some time being a project coordinator. I’m very thankful for that time as it helped me understand the business not only from the field and job site, but also from the administrative side. It has always been my goal and desire to own and also operate my own business. I have a great sense of pride about not only restoration and remodeling but also about building relationships, whether that be with other colleagues, tradesman, business owners, or most importantly homeowners. I truly enjoy the experience of meeting someone and walking them through either some pretty dark times to brighter days or helping design and make dreams become reality with remodels.
